The Plant Life Cycle

I did a whole unit on the life cycle of a plant.  I read the children a book about how a plant grows.  Then we used a flow map to write the steps.  The children then had a chance to do it independently and draw pictures to match their words.  Lastly, they took their flow maps and wrote an informational writing piece about the process of the plant life cycle. 

Bucket List Bulletin Board

Here is a fun end of the year project.  Have students fill out a bucket list of things that they want to do over the summer.  I took their bucket lists and made real buckets for them to take home for the summer filled with goodies!  Check it out.

Creative Teacher Chair

 

This was my first teacher project.   I bought an old rocking chair at a tag sale for $5!  Then I used sand paper to sand it down to the bare wood.  After, I chose some funky colors at Home Depot and started painting.  The project cost me less than $30.  Such a fun chair to read to the kiddies!
